Odd-Crazy Far---West environment

Environment for the Wild West Artstation Challenge. I dont' have yet same technicals skills that other artists and designers here, but this challenge motivated me to train on computer drawings, so that's cool. The Odd-crazy Far-far-far West ?
resume: Natives are reptiles living into the giant plants. A long time ago the desert was an ocean, so these plants were aquatic plants and natives were living under water. Then the water gradually left, they needed to adapt (in several generations. It was ok and they found a new way of living quite correct until strangers came in the country. They were not the problem... the problem was some bacteria with which they came. These bacteria kills many natives babies... )
